Imacs - Institute For Math And Computer Science Students who learn critical thinking skills do better at everything. And, unlike classes where students practice techniques, once you learn how to to think, you learn it forever. Our Summer Classes consist of individual week-long online, interactive, instructor-led classes. There are several classes to choose from including Logic Puzzles, Computer Programming, and University-Level Courses.

IMACS helped me to discover my passion with courses that encourage creative problem solving and offer a deep, meaningful understanding of the material.
Services
For over three decades, IMACS has been offering various academic enrichment classes for gifted kids and teens that help them achieve success in their academic and professional careers. We mix an extraordinary curriculum, engaging instructors, and a healthy dose of fun to help IMACS students build lifelong critical thinking abilities.
IMACS students are always placed by ability and not by age or grade level. This is true for both our mathematics and computer science classes. Schedule a free class and we'll guide you through the evaluation processes and provide you with recommendations specifically for your child. Put simply, this class will make your child a better thinker, and this will benefit them hugely for the rest of their life.
Weekly Classes are led by an IMACS instructor. Classes use a combination of IMACS and Zoom technology. Not only do IMACS students have fun, but they also develop critical reasoning skills - and a genuine understanding of the logical reasoning processes required to solve advanced math problems. Online, interactive worksheets encourage students to explore the problem-solving techniques covered in class. These are not your ordinary drill-and-kill worksheets! Auto-grading allows for immediate feedback and multiple attempts.
For three decades, Computer Programming at IMACS has been helping young students build a strong computer science foundation. Students can enroll via a recommendation from an IMACS instructor following a free trial class. Parents use the Parent Portal to enroll students; arrange make-up classes; review student points; access credit card profiles, accounts, invoices and calendars; and contact IMACS instructors and administrators. We have answered the most common questions that parents have in the FAQ section below.

Life changing! My 7 year old has seen the most progress. She couldn't do mental math after 2 semesters with IMACS her reasoning skills have sky rocketed and she has improved so much with math.

My 7-yr old has been with IMACS for a few months. With a global pandemic and schools being online, IMACS could not have come to us at the perfect time. They have, as well as many others, adapted to an online platform and I must say they have excelled and succeeded in being top-notch. They keep their online classes very interactive, never redundant, and always allowing my son to take something productive at the end of each class.

As many children may not be progressing academically, my son has flourished despite this new "normal". Not only is he gaining academic skills, he is also quite honestly enjoying each class. It's a definite win-win! If you are looking to enrich, enhance, supplement, and / or challenge your children, I would highly recommend IMACS. You will not be disappointed.

My kids have been in IMACS classes since 1st grade and have benefited immensely from the courses. They are consistently at the top of their classes/grades in math and I credit that in large part to the IMACS curriculum. I highly recommend IMACS to anyone looking for a creative, challenging and innovative program!
