I took the Excel for Business Fundamentals. It was great class in person at 185 Madison Avenue. I learned tips and shortcuts that will save me hours during work. I found it to be interactive and engaging. I highly recommend for anyone looking to expand their Excel skills.

They are simply the best! Had a fantastic experience learning all of the nuances of Excel with great instructors and a fun, user friendly learning structure. 10/10 would absolutely recommend to friends and colleagues looking for high quality training.

The training I took was INCREDIBLY helpful. I took Intermediate Excel for Business online with Garfield as the instructor. The material covered in the course was uncannily relevant to my business on a day to day basis. I could not speak highly enough of Garfield as an instructor. He effectively explained all material by walking us through each step and using helpful analogies for us to have a stronger understanding of when you would use each tool.

As an online course he made sure everyone was engaged and was patient yet timely to reexplain something if people had questions. Garfield was kind enough to make himself available for me after the course as I was struggling with a challenging and important excel file I was working on. He let me share my screen with him and explain what I needed help with.

His help with this file and the tools I gained from his instruction very likely are the reason I saved my job. Thank you NYIM and Garfield. If you are looking to increase your excel skills THIS is the company you should invest your time in.

I took the MS Access level 1 class here. It was a fantastic class, mainly because of the instructor. Garfield was incredibly knowledgeable, offered background on any questions we had, and gave great tips on how to use Access in your personal life. This was a full day class and went by very quickly because it was packed with a ton of info. The facilities were top notch and all materials needed were provided by NYIM. I would definitely take a class here again.

The PowerPoint Bootcamp for Business classes were well worth EVERY penny and I highly recommend them. The instructor Scott was very engaging, knowledgeable and funny so not only did I learn a lot but the class flew by. If you want to learn PPT, this is the class for you!

Very informative classes. I took the excel beginner and intermediate courses. While the beginner course was very basic, it still offered a lot of tips that are commonly overlooked. As someone who has used excel before I appreciated these extra tips.

I took the 1-day Intermediate Excel class in-person at the NYIM center. Garfield is an excellent instructor - engaging and very knowledgeable. It was a small group setting with ~10 people, and we had one-on-one if needed. The space is comfortable with coffee and tea, and computers very good. You are able to access an online version of the training after completing the in person. I would highly recommend this class!

High-quality VBA training in Excel--I've taken a couple of classes, and this was by far the best--Garfield was an excellent instructor--patient, clear, and helpful. Course content felt well thought out and organized--nice mix of working on mapped exercises to work on discrete skills with some room to work on any problems or concerns or thoughts you might have brought to class.

The supplement files/exercises provided for post-class work are solid as well. I've received a greater amount of content from some places, but the files and materials here were much more workable and better-organized. Classrooms are not glamorous by any means, but they are acceptable. I took the class in early fall, and I would caution that the room was quite warm; somewhat uncomfortably so once it hit midday, even with the giant fan going. So dress lightly. But worth it for the VBA-ducation.

I had a fantastic experience in NYIM's Intermediate Excel class. Staff were very helpful in guiding me on which course to take based on my current skill set. Scheduling was easy as there were multiple days, times, and formats offered. I took the course over two weekday nights with Garfield. The facilities are clean and modern and offer complimentary water, coffee, and snacks. Garfield was an expert and made learning excel fun (which is not easy to do).

I am able to apply what i learned directly to my work. At the end of the course, they offer a handout, online courses, and a copy of the work book from the training which make it an incredible value. Would highly recommend NYIM for any excel training, and will definitely be booking advanced excel courses with them in the near future.

I thoroughly enjoyed my training experience (Excel Bootcamp for Business- Fundamentals, Intermediate, Advanced). The instructors were very informative, thorough and engaging and the tools were invaluable to my day-to-day work in accounting. Would highly recommend this training.

I enjoyed the Excel Bootcamp I took at NYIM. First the trainers were very knowlegeable and took time to explain concepts in detail. Secondly the course content is very rich. I found it quite voluminous though. But it is great to have printed material for reference. Thirdly, I loved how interactive classes were with trainers trying as best they could to provide help individually to students. I greatly recommend NYIM training.

I took a two-day Adobe Illustrator course here and found it well worth my time. Eugenio was the instructor and covered everything I was looking for, and more. The class was small, so he made extra effort to make sure our individual needs were met. His teaching style is mostly hands-on, and very quick, which I find to be helpful in courses like this, where there's a ton to learn and you really just need an overview.

He had many examples to test out the tools in real time, printed takeaway material, and his contact information for questions later. If you're looking for a beginner to intermediate course on Illustrator, I'd definitely recommend NYIM, especially with Eugenio. Bring ideas and questions if you want more personalized help--there's time allotted for this.

Just came out of my Excel Business Level Training at NYIM. Garfield, the instructor, is really nice And very helpful. They are very professional and they provide all the necessary tools for the students to acquire all the info they need, and, in case you want to refresh your memory you can always retake the course for free within 6 months. Cool, huh? :-

I had a great experience in my level 2 Excel for business course. The instructor, Garfield, was very knowledgeable and patient with questions. He taught all the sections effectively and I really feel like I learned a lot from that one day session. NYIM has a really nice facility with modern computers (Macs too). The fact that they give you the chance to re-take a class free of charge within a year after the first one is amazing. I highly recommend their courses and will definitely be taking another class, or two!

I enjoyed my InDesign Essentials class. The instructor was very knowledgeable and patient. I appreciated that he not only taught the must know items but also the lesser known tricks and tips. I especially liked the fact that I didn't feel rushed and lost as compared to other classes I've taken before at other vendors. The instructional format was great because we were given time to learn and review.

The only thing I wish was different (why I didn't give 5 stars) was that no written materials were provided. Perhaps a folder with the written steps for the projects would be good to take home. Nevertheless, our instructor provided us with his website url that includes several instructional videos, including one with the exact project. Overall, I highly recommend this training school.

Had an amazing experience taking Excel for Business Level 2 at NYIM. The excel class helped me get back up to speed on a ton of fundamental techniques and short cuts, and the instructor was awesome. They even gave us videos to look at after we finished the class for some extra help on our own time. The actual location was convenient and comfortable, they gave us coffee tea and chcocolate- an overall great experience. Will definitely be going back for level 3.

Excel for Business Level 1: Garfield was a great teacher. He was thorough on each topic. The class moved at a good pace and a lot was covered in the day. I will return for the second class.

Great Excel class! I'm a pretty seasoned Excel user, so there were parts that were definitely review, but I still learned a whole lot. Michael kept the pace up, though not too fast, and he wasn't married to his agenda. He was flexible and was willing to answer questions at any time. The course materials were great, too, and there was sufficient time built in for completing exercises. I highly recommend.

Garfield did a great job teaching our class excel. Would highly recommend to folks needing a refresher or to learn some new business skills!

I recently attended an Intro to WordPress course - I was sent by work to just get an overview of how WordPress works on the backend since I'll be managing a few sites shortly. The class started off pretty slow. The course was very comprehensive and covered everything from setting up the site (which isn't so relevant, at least for me, who is just taking over a WP site and not building it from the ground up), using themes, templates, widgets, and plugins.

I thought the teacher was knowledgeable and paused enough times for questions but easily got impatient when questions were repeated or students asked for further clarification - it was a little awkward. I was in a class of 4 (myself included) and a few of the other students didn't have as much experience with computers or websites as others, so there was a big learning gap even in such a small class.

The instructor did have many good real-life examples which was really nice, though. Overall, I'm rating it a 4/5 because there is not an 'intermediate' course, which is where I would have been, and because of this many basic introductory things were taught (like how to use a text editor) that I did not think was worth my time and money, however, overall it was a well-developed course with a very knowledgeable instructor, and I did end up learning new things in the second half of class.

Garfield is a very good teacher. Very patient and clear, I learned a lot. English is my second language and he takes time to explain several times. I highly recommend him.

Took the Excel for business level 2 course with Michael and it was fantastic. Learned great new skills and ways to improve things that I am already doing in Excel. Never thought a 7 hour Excel course would go by so fast.

All in all I thought this class was a great resource. The instructor was very informative and I learned a lot from him. However, the course went very quickly and it was hard to have practice time. In addition, the computers that they used were terrible. They were very slow, didn't have the same version of Photoshop the instructor was using, and 2 computers needed to be switched out in the middle of the class. I think this is the reason that there wasn't enough time to practice, since a lot of time was given to replacing these computers.

It was by one the best training/workshops I've ever attended, the instructor Joe was so clear and made each exercises so easy to learn. Even when I felt a bit stuck or unclear he would make sure that we were all on the same page, then took out the time to ensure that I knew exactly what and why I was doing it the steps on my advanced excel workshop.

One of the benefits too is that you can always go back and refresh yourself once you've paid for one his classes. Thank you Joe! It was truly an amazing workshop experience and left feeling a lot more confident with excel.

I went to the advanced Excel training with Saba today and learned a lot. Saba had the perfect pace going through activities and was great at giving help on the fly. This course, I'd say, is more "intermediate" than advanced. You get an intro to vlookup, macros, and pivot tables and the most difficult of the class -- perfect for me, but I think some people were hoping for a little bit more advanced.

My class had 8 people in it. Chairs were super comfy. (Weird thing to mention, I know, but sitting in a rooms for many hours makes these types of features important!) I'd definitely recommend this class and Saba. I can't wait to use these skills at work (dorky, I know).
