I wish I could say I had a great experience with MicroTrain, I did not. I took the following classes; Network+, Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP, and ITIL4. These classes were part of the WIOA program I signed up for. They did not have a choice for instructors for these classes; in fact, I had the same instructor for 3 out of the 4 classes and I just couldn't tolerate her training style by the end of it all.

PSA BEWARE: I would not choose this provider for any services. Select a different for profit school where the students education is priority. The company will milk every penny out of you via government grants and then not communicate after they have been paid. They entice you with false promises such as the ability to switch classes if you don't like what you selected, or the ability to reschedule a course due to life.

Its been more than 6 months and I have attempted to reschedule my courses due to outside circumstances and they stopped communicating with me. How absurd. The one PMP course I attended was taught so so haphazardly that the teacher flashes through material so fast you have no chances to digest the content, or even ask questions and when you do ask any questions the answer is glossed over as if we are 20 year veterans working in the industry.

It was horrible and everyone in the class was lost. I was enrolled in classes i didn't care about, and told them i did not want to participate yet was given a difficult time about that. I was unable to reschedule my other classes and they ultimately said oh well not our problem. This was after they got their money too, so please beware.

MicroTrain is a Workforce training and services provider for the unemployed. This location boasts ample conference, meeting and training rooms. The staff is very professional, friendly and helpful as a WIOA partner. They really do mean "We've got your back, back to work". Highly recommend using MicroTrain for extended learning opportunities.

Microtrain offers day, night and weekend classes and this is one of the reasons I chose the school for it's flexibility and various certifications they offered. The instructors are great and they work in the industry they teach. I'm taking classes at the Lombard location and the staff is very nice and helpful.

I selected Microtrain for the various certifications that were offered. Classes are provided weekday and weekend making it flexible for a parent. The Lombard staff is very helpful and works with you in resolving any class conflicts. The instructors are very knowledgeable and explain the material in great detail.

If I could award more than five stars to Microtrain Technologies I would. I completed the 'Project Management Professional +3' program this summer in their Lombard location, and from a very accommodating course enrollment process to a comfortable training environment to the high-caliber instructors and job placement / career services support from Microtrain advisers, the entire experience was a joy.

I researched two other training providers in the area and chose Microtrain for a number of reasons, not least of which was their facility. The Lombard office was welcoming, classroom seats were comfortable, computer equipment was well maintained, and the building's cafe (open for breakfast and lunch) serves surprisingly tasty food. Microtrain does offer its own lunchroom for brown-baggers, and a number of popular restaurants dwell nearby.

If you are considering computer training companies in the Chicagoland area, do yourself a favor and include Microtrain in your vetting process. I cannot recommend them highly enough (I'm limited to five stars, remember?)

After much exploration and comparison with other WIOA approved programs I decided on enrolling in MicroTrain's Agile Full Stack Web and Hybrid Mobile Development Coding Boot Camp. From the moment I spoke with my career advisor after their brief WIOA session, meeting the instrutors and submitting my application, I knew the curriculum would compliment my experience in the design field. MicroTrain's Boot Camp offered me an insight into LAMP, MEAN, API's and Development Toolkits.

The 10 week Boot Camp pace is highly challenging and engaging and if you have difficulty with reading, focusing on tasks, completing projects and attending without distractions any type of Boot Camp may not be the best fit. I learned how to build out a production Linux Server, completed coding and exercises in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, C-R-U-D, User Authentication, Responsive Design while using Git, Express, Node.js, React.js, MySQL, MongoDB, BootStrap, Ionic, Angular and more. Students participate in experiential learning exercises, hands on lab and provided online training courseware. MicroTrain's career-planning portal, end of class project reviews and mentoring, positioned me for successful completion. MicroTrain includes a self-guided online portal (TPM) to keep track of your hiring process and included a workshop on How to position myself on LinkedIn to get my resume into hiring manager hands.

Their 2-day Certified ScrumMaster course is top-notch and solidfied my project management skills as well as sharpened my Agile methods. I scored a perfect score the first time through. I was fortunate to attend two hiring events in Lombard and Chicago which led me to several freelance projects as well as a temp position and a full-time offers outside of Chicagoland. You get what you put in and having completed the August 2018 Boot Camp have many projects and sites to show.

I took the Agile Full Stack Development Course at MicroTrain back in February 2019. I will tell anyone thinking of taking this course to ensure you know at least HTML, CSS, and JavaScript because this is where you start and by knowing the above languages may help you stay ahead of the course. Before I attended the course I was taking classes at one of the City Colleges and thought this would increase my knowledge and experience.

The instructor was very informative and knew the topic but need more experience in teaching a class full of beginners. One of the things that MicroTrain promises is job fairs and support in finding a job. I feel they can do a better job in this area. The truth is every job fair that MicroTrain has had on their schedule since December 2018 has been canceled by the company, I'm assuming due to the lack of hiring sponsors and contacts for this course. Before you commit 10 weeks of your time, do your research.

Choosing MicroTrain for my school to take classes towards various certifications has proven to be the best choice. The teachers have real world professional experience. The staff is great in replying to communications and request in timely manner. Lastly and importantly having two campuses offer day, evening and weekend classes are very beneficial for students.

Stay far away from this school. Lies, Lies, and more Lies. This school is not concerned with your long term benefit. They're only concerned with taking your money and moving on. Research this location. I can't say the same about their suburban location. Although I'm glad I did my research.

Took a certification test here today. nice building, nice office, nice furniture, nice view of the server room from the front desk area. the receptionists were also nice and let me grab some tea out of their break room. testing room was small, only 2 workstations, but i was the only one in there and it was kind of nice. so overall: nice :

My company uses MicroTrain for all of their offsite computer training. We primarily use them for Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and In Design, but they also offer many web courses and different corporate classes. Personally, I've been to MicroTrain for Excel 2 & 3 training, and I had a positive experience. The instructor I had for both courses, David, was very thorough and tried to "spice things up" a bit by showing comedy routines on YouTube during our break.

He responded well to questions, but definitely catered a little better to beginners. They also provided a CD to all of us with exercises to practice at home & the manuals are top-notch. They do offer Microsoft Certification Prep that I am interested in learning more about. As far as the facilities go, they are OK - nothing to write home about, they could certainly use a good cleaning.

The computers were a bit older, but they worked fine for our purposes. An added bonus is that you can access the Internet while in class so you can check your email, etc on breaks. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They have decent corporate rates, so if you are looking for a vendor, I'd recommend checking them out.
