I have taken several classes here and it is very convenient as most of the classes are offered online. They also have in person training as well. The instructors are knowledgeable and they provide a variety of perspectives which helps when learning. The program administrator is very helpful with selecting the courses and helped accommodate my work schedule. I enjoy CTS and look forward to learning more.

Absolutely loved my experience with CTS. I was in a 1 day course for Quickbooks. The instructor was very helpful and patient to all students (even those with technology challenges). The course syllabus covered the basics which have made a big improvement in my comfort and ability to navigate the site. I'm so glad I took the course; I'm able to use it for my business in new ways that will save me time and keep me organized. I'll be back for an Excel class in the near future.

I participated in the 2 day SharePoint User/Owner bootcamp - my instructor Karen was highly skilled and knowledgeable about the materials because I never once looked at the companion materials during the class. The class was well structured with fantastic flow from one topic to another. In class, questions were always answered and often lead right into the next topic. Also, my request for additional resources was given in a very timely manner.
I was very impressed with the class, instructor, and its set up. I was assisted by Matt to set up my virtual classroom which went very quickly and without any issues. And everything I learned, I have been able to put to use immediately. Thank you CTS!

My company paid for me to take the basic, intermediate, and advanced Access courses for three consecutive days. Due to covid restrictions, I decided to take my classes online and it was easy to follow. The classes started on time and Karen was exceptional in answering our questions and providing step-by-step instructions on how to execute functions.
I always preferred to work on Excel, but Karen really showed the true power of working in Access. I work with large datasets and tables daily, so being able to evaluate the datasets and make updates and changes without excess formulas really simplified my job. The books are hefty and there's lots of content per class, so not likely to review all materials. However, the books are great resources I know I will be referencing for many years to come.

Mary Hershey, the instructor, was very knowledgeable, easy to understand, and kind. She created an atmosphere of enthusiasm about her subject and took care in answering questions and making sure that her students understood the material. She also diligently tried to apply the material to real life situations relating to our job responsibilities. It was well worth our time. We will defiantly be signing up for another class.

The company I worked for thought I needed to brush up on my excel skills so I took a two day excel course. The instructors were fine. They told us ahead of time to bring a thumb drive so we could save the tutorial and the work we did in class. A little over thirty days later, I plug in my thumb drive and the tutorials are now blank and my files also blank.
All other non CTS files were just fine. That left a bad impression. I was not impressed and I thought the class was expensive. I will give them credit in that they do allow you to retake the class at no charge so that is a plus. I will admit this was the only time I have taken a software class so I did not have another experience to compare it to.

I started attending the Computer Training Source Internet Marketing Program on 9/17 and have been incredibly impressed with the quality of the instructors, the flexibility and friendliness of the staff and most importantly, all of the information I've learned thus far through the program. The materials that accompany each class are incredibly informative and easy-to-follow and the instructors make themselves available once a class is completed to address any follow-up questions the students may have. I had a choice of programs to choose from and without question-- CTS was the best choice for me! I highly recommend their programs.

I had Karen for both Outlook classes (as well as Excel Advanced). She is Awesome! She explains everything so well and even answers all our class questions as we go through the book. I have learned so many new skills, and techniques. Her knowledge, skills and ability is amazing! I highly recommend this class to you.

Computer Training Source has some of the most skilled and dedicated instructors like James Peterson who applied practical knowledge and real world experience to provide a fun and interactive learning experience. Form the moment you walk in or enroll online you are given careful attention and support by the front office staff Danielle and Kaitlin. The classes are well complemented by in-depth yet not overly confusing support material and video presentations.
I have over 12 years' experience in higher education and am astounded by the performance of CTS to deliver on its promise of quality training that goes above and beyond just acquiring a certification.

Do you want to learn more about spreadsheets? Computer Training Source offers three Microsoft Excel classes just for YOU! They are Excel Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. I call them my "Triple Play"! Do you have a large worksheet that you need to analyze and summarize data for your boss? In Microsoft Excel training courses, you learn how by creating Pivot Tables.
They are highly flexible and you can adjust them quickly. Now that you've learned how to summarize your data, use the VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP features to find a value in your tables fast. The V stands for vertical or data located in columns and the H in HLOOKUP means horizontal for searching them in rows. VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP are similar to looking up a name and address in the Yellow Pages, but much quicker.
Or perhaps you are like me and want to know how to create complex formulas for those difficult accounting and payroll projects. Also in Microsoft Excel training classes, the instructors teach you how to work with and manage multiple worksheets, create 3-D formulas, outline and consolidate data, advance formatting, and so much more. At Computer Training Source, all three of these Microsoft Excel's training classes are available at all four locations.

I recommend Computer Training Source. In my experience CTS is the best professional training centers throughout the Chicagoland area. I have secured my Project Management, Six Sigma Green Belt, Agile and HTML certification. Because of CTS, I secured a great career and I'm looking forward to completing more certification in the future.

Karen was my instructor for my Outlook Intermediate class. She was extremely helpful and informative. I left class with a few new tricks up my sleeve that will be sure to make my everyday work life that much easier! The class was well thought out, and Karen made sure that everyone stayed on track. I recommend this class to anyone who is looking to know all the extras that Outlook has to offer!

I can't on good conscience recommend Computer Training Source after taking 3 courses - Access beginning, intermediate, and advanced. Let me preface by saying, the facility is very nice/clean, and the instructors are very knowledgeable. 5 stars to them. So why one star? I went into the class knowing very little in Access and left the class knowing very little in Access.
The expectations people have going in, including myself, are not realistic with the knowledge you will have coming out. Over 50% of the students took the class, took it with the expectation they WILL PASS the Microsoft Access certification when the class is complete. That is NOT going to happen. I am not leaving the review as someone who is bitter about having spent the money and not putting the effort in.
I can tell you, the manuals they passed out are in front of me, at my desk, and I try to apply them to my business needs in Access. Access is just too robust or a program to learn in 3 days. Do yourself a favor, spend the extra money and take a college or junior college course in Access. I read reviews all the time and ignore most because I trick myself into thinking it will be different for me.
To reiterate the one star is not for the course materials or instructions, it is for setting poor expectations. All the while they are happy to take your money and DO NOT provide refunds if you are dissatisfied. They merely offer the ability to take the course again. Do not take this course thinking you will know how to use Access after three days - you will not. Caveat Emptor.

I took the CTS class Intro to Word. I currently work in an office, but was a stay at home mom for 20yrs and needed to strengthen my skills. Wow, what a great class to take. The instructor, Sandy, was awesome. She took the time to explain when we did not follow what she was doing, she showed patience and exceptional knowledge of the material. We were given a manuel and a cd to take home and practice what we had learned in class. I will definately take the next level class!

The CTS Intro to Excel course, was amazing. The instructor when at the right pace, not too slow or too fast. He allowed us to ask questions when we had them, instead of waiting until the end of class. We were able to follow along with Excel on computers there, no our own. He taught us information that can be used for any excel worksheet/project. Overall, I would definitely go back to CTS for another Excel training course.

I just took two HTML courses at the Chicago location this week. One word: Excellent. I was so impressed with the structure of the course which combines both theory and practice. Both courses start right away with showing you how to develop a web page using HTML and providing clear explanations on the logic behind each concept. Both instructors, Dan and Ryan, were fun, knowledgeable, and patient.
They both were very passionate about the subject which kept the energy level high and made it more interesting, and it created a sense of confidence in me that I could grasp the concepts. I'd like to add that the location was really easy to find and perfect for me since I rely on public transportation. The facility is really nice, airy, and the training labs are intimate.
I also like that they have a break room that is open to students. I'm dieting so I didn't need to eat out! I recommend you try a course. I will be going back to take the CSS course later in the year.

I took the CTT+ program for the purpose of becoming a certified trainer. Coming into the program was by far overwhelming to say the least. The course covered every Microsoft Office & Abode applications and then some. It gave me the prospective of where I stood in my knowledge of technology; what I wanted to do and what I felt I was most challenged on.
Every instructor I had for all the courses were Excellent. There is nothing negative that I can say on any of them. They were all fantastic! Not only did they know the application, but they also provided samples of real life situations. The resources and the shortcuts not taught in the books were just as valuable as the cost of the course. There were so many resources and websites provided for just about every course that I had to create a document to keep track of all the websites. The support staff were just as helpful in customizing your schedule and working through your exams.

This review is based on an overall experience. The facility is clean, organized and the instructors/staff are friendly and professional. This is a place where you waste company money and time, however, if you are paying out of pocket it is expensive and the content offered can be found with a quick Google search, ex: YouTube and for the cost of one CTS class, you can receive an entire year of tutorials on Lynda.com. Personally, I do not think it is worth the money, but if you choose CTS because of their reputation on Yelp and years of experience like I did, I suggest purchasing classes individually, you have up to four days prior to a scheduled class to either cancel and receive a refund or reschedule, although if life throws at you hazardous weather conditions like this past week and you have to reschedule the day before, you forfeit any refunds. Unfortunately, I cannot reschedule another class because I am leaving the state and management refused any partial refund.
My pick four became a pick three @ $799 because I paid up front for what I thought would be a deal. I ended up paying $266 for each class anyway and limited to the choices within the pick four package. Minus the hour for lunch, this class cost about $45/hour, plus transportation costs, etc. etc. In the end - I feel cheated.

After being out of the graphic design field for 13 years, I needed to update my skills. A friend that is still a graphic designer, recommended CTS. I took my first Dreamweaver class in July and spent the rest of the summer building a website for a friend of mine. I was able to take the second class in the 3 class series this week and learned SO much. I can now go back to the website and fix mistakes that I made and upgrade to a great site, all from just the two classes. Can't wait to take the next one.

There are not enough good things to say about the staff at CTS. From my initial phone call, to the start of my participation in their Administrative Assistant Program, professionalism is the first word that comes to mind. The instructors are all well versed in the various programs. Each bringing a unique perspective to the software. For an instructor to open up Excel for me, where it all makes sense, well there was a huge sigh of relief from this gal.
The staff here really care about the students, and making sure the understanding is there. FYI-you can retake any class within 6 months. Pretty good in my estimation. You also take home a substantial binder as well as a disc containing all of the exercises covered in that day's lessons. I've just begun, and feel like I've come so far already. Taking a course at CTS is a worthy investment in your future.

I am so happy I finally took a class in HTML. I was very nervous at first because I have ZERO experience. Thankfully, as soon as class started, I realized it was not a problem. The class moved at a great pace for all the users, experienced or not. I took both beginning and intermediate HTML and loved them both. I had Bob as my instructor and he was so helpful and nice. I learned so much and the next week back at work - I was writing HTML! If you need help understanding HTML - as a refresher or as a beginner - take your class here!

Started my Certified Project Manager program in June and am truly enjoying myself. The instructors and the management team are very helpful and patient as well! As part of my program I am also taking web development classes, and was pleasantly surprised at how the instructors made my learning process seamless. I highly recommend Computer Training Source to anyone looking to enhance their skillset.

After taking introductory excel course, I found that the information was presented in a very straight forward, professional manner. Having used excel for years now, I thought I was proficient - but actually saw that I had a lot to learn. I would easily recommend taking one of these courses to someone learning the program.
